A collection of all the images from 2021: A year of Healing and Art, with links to each post.
Read MoreAs 2021 comes to completion, it is a good time for all of us to reflect on what the past year has taught us. So many lessons, and opportunities to grow and unzip from the old ways, right?!?! The New Year beckons us into the unknown with anticipation, curiosity, and love! What is it you want to experience and create for yourself in this coming year?
Read MoreI am pairing this month’s painting, “Outdoor Cathedral” with the Ho’oponopono Hawaiian prayer as they complement and inform each other.
Read MoreI view all creative works as prayers from our hearts to God. This month’s offering is a pencil drawing I created in 2001, with accompanying prayer text.
Read More“Keeping the High Watch” is September’s image for your consideration. I painted it when I turned inward and upward for Faith and Guidance during the chaos of 2020.
Read MoreThis month’s painting and writing is from my book, “The Enchanted Mirror” (1999, Papillon Press). It is a mythical journey to find Self-Love, for Mothers, Daughters, and people of all ages. The protagonist Serena is searching for a mirror that once she gazes into it, will reveal once and for all who she really is! Read MoreI have been fascinated with our Private Selves, and our Public Selves for a long time. This painting is from 1991. Now, it seems especially relevant. How will our New Private Selves, meet our New Public Selves as we navigate back into the world again?
Read MorePandora, (like Icarus, featured in April), is also from Greek Mythology.. Certainly both of them were courageous! When Pandora opened the box — all kinds of scary things flew out — but she shut it in time to keep Hope in the box.
Read MoreThis painting has been exhibited and won awards — but more importantly, it is one of my favorites. When I painted it in Colorado, I didn’t know I would study healing at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing a few years later. That’s when I realized that the creativity and inspiration the Artist receives at the Artist’s table, is from the same Source, and is made of the same essence as what the Healer receives at the healing table.
Read MoreApril brings double blessings featuring 2 companion paintings. The first one is our Mythological Greek friend Icarus who flew too close to the Sun and fell back to Earth! Our second friend doesn’t have a name and tells us a whole different story.
Read MoreThis whimsical and also spiritual painting reminds me of joy, color, vibration, happiness and connection. All of that is longing to express itself through each one of us — especially after so many months of contraction and separation.
Read MoreThe way I make Art is the way I do Healing and Therapy: being present, listening, seeing, waiting for inspiration, and sharing what shows up. Cultivating Witness Consciousness within our own hearts is a meditation practice, and a healing practice. Noticing our thoughts and feelings as they arise, and exercising Compassion for ourselves, rather than criticism, profoundly changes our relationship to ourselves, and to others.
Read MoreI’m committed to sharing one of my paintings every month for this whole year of 2021. I would love to hear your impressions, feelings, and perceptions. My January offering is: “Duality Meets Neutrality”
