Read MoreIt takes great maturity to know when an idea, an attitude, a place, behavior, or relationship simply doesn’t work for you anymore. That is the time to walk away. It can be painful — especially if you’ve invested a lot of yourself to ‘make it work’. But, if the pain of staying exceeds the call to transformation, it’s time to listen.
Read MoreWe were recently visited by the Blue Angels in Vero Beach. Since I love to paint angels I was inspired to create Primary Color Angels — adding a yellow and a red Angel to accompany the blue Angels. As an Artist, and Therapist, I thought it would be wonderful to be able to create any color Angel you want by mixing the primary colors!
Read MoreVisiting the gallery of our broken dreams is actually a lot more beneficial than it may sound initially. It’s important to examine what we once longed for — and may still long for — although attempts to find it have ended in disappointment.
Read MoreNow that we’ve arrived in Spring it’s time to shed the obstacles that impede new growth! One of them is depression. I’ve heard depression described as “trying to go up a down escalator” — and I find that an apt description.

Read MoreThis month’s painting and writing is from my book, “The Enchanted Mirror” (1999, Papillon Press). It is a mythical journey to find Self-Love, for Mothers, Daughters, and people of all ages. The protagonist Serena is searching for a mirror that once she gazes into it, will reveal once and for all who she really is! Since this doesn’t exist, she must find the ingredients and make it herself.
Read MorePandora, (like Icarus, featured in April), is also from Greek Mythology.. Certainly both of them were courageous! When Pandora opened the box — all kinds of scary things flew out — but she shut it in time to keep Hope in the box.
Read MoreThis painting has been exhibited and won awards — but more importantly, it is one of my favorites. When I painted it in Colorado, I didn’t know I would study healing at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing a few years later. That’s when I realized that the creativity and inspiration the Artist receives at the Artist’s table, is from the same Source, and is made of the same essence as what the Healer receives at the healing table.
Read MoreApril brings double blessings featuring 2 companion paintings. The first one is our Mythological Greek friend Icarus who flew too close to the Sun and fell back to Earth! Our second friend doesn’t have a name and tells us a whole different story.
Read MoreThis whimsical and also spiritual painting reminds me of joy, color, vibration, happiness and connection. All of that is longing to express itself through each one of us — especially after so many months of contraction and separation.
